"Routes" series.

This series of paintings and drawings is based on maps of my daily routes.

As a restoration ecologist I spend a lot of time driving around the region visiting my habitat restoration project sites. Although I drive one of the most fuel efficient vehicles available I find it ironic that I have to pollute the atmosphere while restoring local ecosystems.

Although we make small and large plans throughout our lives there are many things outside of our control that change the trajectory of our paths. This series visualizes the effects of our altered plans.
